‘The Grinch’ Bloomingdales Holiday Windows 2018

“Another year, another movie tie-in. Last time out was “The Greatest Showman.” This year, we’ve got the grumpy green meanie himself, who — big fluffy face and all — is far less frightening than Bloomie’s mannequins, with their sky-high hair and high-fashion pouts. Seussian contraptions and conveyor belts send a number of blinged-out purses, catcher’s mitts and more into another window, where a line of boxed and beribboned gifts emerge. Snippets from the animated new movie play out silently on porthole-size screens, while one window offers two protruding microphones for a “Whoville Karaoke.” You’ve got a whopping three songs to choose from: “Jingle Bells,” “Deck the Halls” and “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” Don’t know the words? Watch them scroll in the window, or listen to a recorded chorus belt it out without you.” -New York Post
